Die Arbeit " Ich liebe die Demokratie " besteht aus einer bemalten Holztafel, die auf eine Lattenkonstruktion montiert ist. Ähnlich wie ein Bauschild oder eine Werbetafel kann dieses Schild im Außenraum aufgestellt werden.
Die bildgebenden Elemente der Arbeit beziehen sich einerseits auf ein Zitat aus dem Film „Star Wars - Angriff der Klonkrieger“ aus dem Jahr 2002 und andererseits auf eine Illustration der "Pyramide des kapitalistischen Systems" von 1911.
Halb Skulptur, halb Informationsträger wird " Ich liebe die Demokratie " oszillieren zwischen aktuellen politischen Mustern und fiktiver Welterklärung.
“I love democracy“ is a work that consists of a painted plywood board that is mounted onto a wood lath construction. It can be shown outside like a construction sign or a billboard. The narrative of the image relates both to a quote of the movie “Star Wars - attack of the clones” from 2002 and the illustration “Pyramid of Capitalist System” from 1911.
Half sculpture, half information, “I love democracy” will oscillate between patterns of present day politics and fictitious global explanations.
